The Early Years

Kantarou wasn't born to a life of privilege or luxury. He didn't come from a loving home nor did he have much positive reinforcement growing up. His father was from Gridania and his mother from Doma. Before he and his twin sister Kaname were born their father, who was enlisted in the Order of the Twin Adder, was on a special assignment in Doma. It was there he, like many of the soldiers, spoiled in the pleasures of the far east. It wasn't until two babies wound up at his doorstep back in Gridania that he even knew of his children. Kantarou's father raised the children as his own for when he found them he also found a note from his forbidden love.

Growing up it was evident that Kaname was the favorite. Their father Kocco'a had never allowed the caretaker to stay but instead took the salary and raised the children on his own. He was proud of Kaname as she reminded him a lot of himself when he was younger. Kantarou however didn't get the same treatment. His father saw too much of his mother in the boy and after his first signs of magical gifting his father was immediately turned off. Gridanian magic was that of the earth and air, tapping into aether for life.Sometime around the twins' fifth birthday a scroll had arrived announcing the death of Tsetsuna Oroishi. The boy's wild fiery magic, mixed with the bitterness he felt every time Kocco'a looked at him was a deterrent for any love he may have received from his father. Kaname would follow in her father's foot steps and become an esteemed member of The Order of the Twin Adder, gaining rank and pleasing her father with everything she did. Kantarou would only be seen as a disappointment to his father, leaving home at the age of seventeen to live in Ul'dah and train with the Thaumaturge's Guild. The real story of his life starts there.

A Life of His Own

Kantarou left home at the age of seventeen to seek out the training of the Thaumaturges in Ul'dah. While it took him a while to embrace his magic, much to do with the negative influence of his father, the young Miqo'te showed great promise and dedication. Kantarou quickly excelled beyond his peers and eventually mastered the art, impressing all of his masters. It was shortly after this that Kantarou was approached by a mysterious figure who claimed he had seen Kantarou in a dream and knew he was to learn a hidden and lost art. Chasing any sort of adventure the Thaumaturge agreed to said training only to find out that the art of "Black Magic" was not only frowned upon but illegal. While he could not control the rapid growth of his abilities once he learned, he did his best to keep this newly found knowledge a secret.

“Four magi meet, in barren land,
Old black powers have they, in hand.
Fate of all wicked, be made stark.
Path to light then lit by dark.”

It was then that Kantarou joined the ranks of the Azure Flames. There he had vowed to dedicate all his skills to their cause. Voidlight Investigations would become his division and he was hoping that his skill in magic, coupled with his love for adventure and some knowledge with a blade would offer both the Azure Flames and himself something to grow with. Kantarou made a few friends while with the flames but couldn't help missing his best friend, his sister. He had reached out to her with several letters before she finally agreed to come and see him. It was then, seeing him roaming like a nomad, that she decided to stay with him and join the Azure Flames as well, requesting a move of station to Ul'dah by the Order, which of course was granted. For a short time the twins lived like this, up until Agents of Wonder came with all their colors and sights. It was then the young Miqo'te decided to travel the world with the group, he and his sister joining the ranks of their guard, the Knighthawks.

Life or Something like it

I'm always looking for fun carefree RP. Feel free to walk up and start a roleplay or send me a tell. I'm open to most questions so if there is anything you want to know or if you want to include Kantarou in a story line of yours feel free to reach out.Kantarou is young and naive and when it comes to romance he has zero experience. That's right. Ya boy hasn't even been kissed. With that being said, he also isn't sure of his sexuality. Kantarou has attraction for both men and women but it's hard for him to distinguish the difference between attraction and admiration. Give it a go and let's see where we wind up. As far as ERP goes... know this: I DO NOT ERP FOR FUN! While sex is a part of life, I am in a RL relationship and do not enjoy cybering. I have done ERP before but only do it when it happens in the story. DO NOT EXPECT ERP FROM ME!All that said, Kantarou loves adventure and is willing to help wherever he can in addition to having a thirst for betterment. Meaning I'm down for whatever so long as it isn't too far fetched from what fits for this character.Me, Jay, the real life player, is also available most of the day via Skype or Discord. Both can be found at the bottom of this page if needed. To give you a little about me, I'm 32 years old and live in America. I've been playing Final Fantasy since the days there was only A Realm Reborn. I am in a very happy and healthy relationship with my boyfriend Andy of 5 and years. He plays Kaname Oroishi in game but isn't much of a RPer. He just supports all my endeavors!
